Left On Colusa

Let's just get this out in the open right now: this was the worst band name I ever gigged under. Formed when Kevin Griffin became frustrated with his lack of success as a writer, we played a dozen or so gigs, including benefits, Marin County bars and even a Cal football game.

Kevin is an outstanding rock and blues guitarist and really knows how to front a band. As this group gigged and practiced regularly, we got pretty tight, to the point where the next logical step would have been to add a female vocalist or branch into jazz gigs.

The drummer, pictured here, was Donn Spindt, he of The Rubinoos .

When Kevin's writing and teaching career took off, we just stopped playing. The core of the group continues to play on in Rough Draft.
