(2008-04-15) - Time for an update on what I've been doing for the last 4 months. We've just learned that Ringo has torn a ligament again, this time in his remaining "good" rear leg. We've met with Martin Aitken DVM and booked a surgery appointment for this Monday morning--another tibial plateau levelling osteotomy (TPLO). It's going to be another long summer of rehab.
Lake Del Valle - Ringo's happy! Spring arrived and the warmer weather has given Dot and me a chance to take him to nearby Lake Del Valle and swim. He's doing very well, and tomorrow we'll be taking our fourth trip there. It's a beautiful spot about an hour away that allows dogs off leash on the trails and in the lake.
March in Bloomington - On March 5th I flew to Bloomington, Indiana, to help celebrate my mother's birthday. Fortunately it snowed quite a bit during my 4-day visit, so I got test my driving skills and see pretty winter scenes. Above is the limestone-clad Monroe County Courthouse.
Birthday Girl - Speaking of birthdays, Dot and I had New Years day brunch at The Claremont in Berkeley, to celebrate her 40th.
Tongue 'N' Cheek Mini-Reunion - Bill (pictured above) and Tony and I got together in San Francisco on December 14, where we staged Tongue 'N' Cheek reunion photo--in front of an old B&W photo of Shane. Tony was passing through on his way to Colorado to meet his new girlfriend. Maybe next time we'll strap on some guitars and play.
