| Summer Off To A Promising Start! |

(2008-06-26) - We are pleased to announce that Ringo's tibia has healed correctly and his rehabilitation can begin. Dr. Aitkin, the surgeon, says in 4 weeks Ringo can return to his favorite swimming hole. We are extremely relieved, and ready to start the summer. Here's a small Ringo gallery, taken with my iPhone as we picked him up from Veterinary Surgical Associates following his 8-week x-ray and checkup.
Happy Loving Couple - Ringo looking a little glassy-eyed as the sedation wears off, and Dot beside herself with joy. It's a quick 10-minute ride from hospital to home. Ringo sat up when we got close to the house.
Out - Those doctor visits are draining! Ringo was a rag doll for the rest of the day, and didn't return to normal for 24 hours.
Our Long National Nightmare Is Over - Really, folks, this is the best news. We've been holding our breath for nearly 8 weeks. Now we can get on with the summer.
